Hey - Hope everyone is doing well. I myself am doing extremely well these days.
As you know I am working on my upcoming album "PRESTO". There have been some turns and changes and all kinds of stuff going on with this album. Not to mention that the original tracks for the album have been scrapped because of the new changes "recording with 80s artists". Anyhow, I got word today that another group is going to record with me, but not only record with me but produce the song too!! How exciting is that? Cant say who it is yet, but if you are a fan of 80's pop music. You will be just as excited as I am :D

Anyhow, the reason I am writing you today is to let you know that I am starting a "Promo Mail Promotion", lol. Like that made sense. Anyways, what I am doing is having all serious fans message me on site with their names and address (Home mailing address / NOT email). This way you will be added to my promo mailings. Today - I Cry. Today - I find out that a long time friend of mine Luis "Bebe" Rodrigues was shot and killed. Back in 1999 I met a young kid names LUIS but all his friends called him BEBE. I called him BEBE BOY since he called me CrayoneBoy. The kid had big dreams and looked to me for guidance and direction. When I first met him, I also met his brother Kiki and their friends James, Toki and Jonathan. They were all great kids, but there was something special about Luis. Luis had a personality that would brighten up anyones day. I asked all the kids if they wanted to be Street Team members for my at the time record label "LawTown Records". They said sure. Luis seemed to have more in mind than just being a street team member. He wanted to be a rapper and a model. I also remember in 2001 after 9/11 we were selling US Flags and other US memorabilia and the kids took it on as a full time job. Luis spent his weekends at local food markets outside with cans accepting donations and selling flags. The kid was an inspiration to many. The kid also had many big dreams and was very determined to become somebody. In 2002 at the closing of LawTown Records, they all went off in their own way. I was no longer running a label so they went on to do whatever it is kids do. However, Luis still wanted to be a model. He asked me to manage him and help him. I took him on as a client and worked with him. We got many shots for him and created a modeling portfolio to help him get jobs. I still have these photos today and I cherish them now more than ever. I worked with him for awhile but then I launched a new record label and didnt have the time to assist him anymore as his agent since running a label took up most of my time. One thing I can say is that things happen for a reason. Maybe it was a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I dont know the full story as I was not there. I havent spoken to Luis in quite awhile. As for my statement about "Things Happen for a reason"... Sometimes people are in your life, then leave, then re-enter. Jonathan, who is also a friend of Luis's came back into my life this past January and I am glad he did. I see how much Jonathan has grown in all these years that have passed. jon tells me that he was with Luis the day before and everything was fine. And now today, our worlds have changed. One thing that is so true... No one is promise tomorrow. Live each day as if it were your last. Always tell those who you love, you love them. Never let an opportunity pass you by. I have lost loved ones before and what hurts the most is that I didnt get to tell them I loved them the last time I saw them. One thing I taught my own kids is after every departure and phone call is to alwats say I love you. That way you always know your last words were "I Love You". Even before you go to bed. Make it a routine. I did with my kids and I also tell my friends I love them too. Never miss a chance to say I love you. R.I.P. LUIS "BEBE" RODRIGUEZ I know my last words werent "I Love You", but you know I do. GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND, YOU WILL BE MISSED

New Album Update !

My upcoming dance album "PRESTO!" got pushed back until further notice. However, there will be a couple new singles coming out this summer.One thing I hate about this industry is that there are too many talkers.People who say YES, either back out or come up with constant excuses for delays.I mean, why cant people just be honest so I can move on with what I want to do.Anyhow, a few changes have been made and unfortunatly, one of the changes has to do with a producer involved with the album. I now have to seek a new producer to work with as my main producer has been playing games. Also, for the record... "PROVE YOUR LOVE" got scrapped!It was recorded but will NOT be released. I know there are demo versions and remixes out there.But I myself / Funusual Records will NOT be releasing the song.Next single to come out later this summer will be "HE WINKED AT ME".Until then, please keep an eye out for "WASTE OF TIME". The remix project will be on iTunes in JUNE. CD Maxi-Single is available now through me directly until it hits online retailers.

I am currently working on a Special Limited Edition DVD Single for "TRUST & BELIEVE" by LawTown Voice. The DVD single will be released sometime within the next 4 months. No exact date available yet. Not sure if I will have to fund this myself or be lucky enough to find a sponsor. One way or another, it will be happening. VANILLA ICE - Pissed Me Off !

In case you didnt already know, my upcoming album is going to have a wide variety of styles.
There's also some 80s artists joining me on this album too. But ummm, I am upset about something. People take my sweetness for a weakness. I recently told VANILLA ICE what I was doing and the song I wanted to do with him was called "WTF" (What the F***). Well, Ice decided not to work on the album with me, instead he walked away taking my song title and is now using it for the name of his upcoming album. Isnt that F'd up?! I am quite upset as you can possibly imagine. but oh well, what can I do.

Same thing recently happened to a good friend of mine BRIAN ANTHONY. he too is also a recording artist. He has released quite a few singles over the past couple of years while workin on his upcoming album "BIONIC". His cover art even had the "Robot Feel" to it. Well guess what?
CHRISTINA AGUILERA has decided to call her upcoming album "Bionic" and even stole the album art concert of the "Robotic feel".

I dont expect you to understand how bad both Brian and myself feel for things happening like this.
We are both Indie artists doing our own thing without major label support. Yet, we make our own ways into the industry networking with other artists, producers, etc and well, sometimes ideas get stolen. What can we do? Anyways. Brian is still going with "Bionic" for his album. As for me, "WTF" is out of my head now. I am leaving that and Vanilla ice behind me. He can melt away for all I care.

I needed to vent.

I think it happens to a lot of Actors & Musicans because Bylli is not the only one! I think Vanilla Ice was too busy and didn't want to be brothered. I agree with Bylli "I am leaving that and Vanilla ice behind me. He can melt away for all I care."
